One of the ways in which you can transport your pet when you make national and international trips is in the cargo compartment of the aircraft. In order to do so, you must meet several requirements. Note. The airline reserves the right of admission according to the eye inspection of the pet at the airport.

FOR TRANSPORTATION IN CARGO COMPARTMENT

1. It is essential that you reserve space for your pet. When making the reservation or purchase of your ticket, inform about the breed and weight of the pet, in addition to the measurements of the carrier. The call center or sales agent will make the request to the reservations area, and they will immediately accept or deny the transportation of your dog or cat, since spaces are limited for this service, according to the ship that operates the flight

2. At the time you purchase the carrier you should look for one that is resistant, safe, comfortable and with good ventilation. For international travel, the material must be stronger and locks must guarantee that it will not be opened at any time.

3. The schedules of presentation in airport must be strictly complied with to avoid the rejection of your pet in counters. It is essential that you present the required documentation according to the route in which you make the trip. The fee to pay is determined by the route and the sum of the weight of your pet and the pets’ carrier.

4. If you are worried about the safety of your pet during the trip, we inform you that we have strict procedures for its transportation, in this way we guarantee that you receive a good treatment and be safe. Take into account that there is a limited quota of spaces per pet flight in the cargo compartment.

5. For a better identification of the carrier of your pet, you can label the following data in a visible place:

6. If you are thinking about making an international trip with your pet, remember that if the trip lasts more than 4 hours, your dog or cat must be transported in a cargo compartment.

3. Also consider that the carrier should have the ventilation holes on all four sides.

4. Remember not to provide food or water to your pet from four hours before the flight. This way you will avoid fatigue and reflux.

5.   Do not forget that you must arrive at the airport with more anticipation and carrying the required documentation.

PASSENGER WITH DIFFERENT NEEDS.

As a transport company, we have the obligation to provide an accessible air service for our customers with special needs and abilities, however, there are limitations related to operational safety. For this reason, with the aim of facilitating and making your trips safe, procedures have been established that should be applied in our offices and airports.

Limitations.

The limitations in the transport of passengers with different capacities are, in many cases, related to operational safety protocols and standards and, in others, to the characteristics of aircraft and airport terminals.
It is important to keep in mind that there are certain conditions that require special attention from the airline, or a legal medical certificate that allows us to provide the service.
There are also exceptional conditions that allow our airport agents to refuse the boarding of a passenger. This procedure is carried out in defense of the safety of the users, the crew and the passenger himself.

People with reduced mobility. (PRM)

According to International Regulations, refers to any person who by any temporary or permanent alteration of their physical and / or sensory abilities, impairment of intellectual faculties, age or other cause, requires special attention and adaptation of services to their needs.

Transport of people with reduced mobility
  1. If, for any reason, you enter the definition of Person with Reduced Mobility, you must take into account that you do not need to present a legal medical certificate, unless you have developed a special medical condition.
  2. In case you require the use of a wheelchair for a part or the entire journey (during boarding and disembarkation), you must make the corresponding request to the reservation agent or sale of tickets at the time of purchase of your ticket. Remember that hand luggage should be lightweight so that it can be transported in the wheelchair with greater comfort and safety.
  3. As an airline, we do not provide a medical assistance service. Therefore, in case of not being self-sufficient, you should always travel with a companion that guarantees your safety, hygiene and healthcare.
  4. In an extreme case, if airport agents deny you transportation, you should be given a clear and specific explanation regarding the causes.
  5. If you have objects that facilitate your mobility (wheelchair, crutches, etc.), these will be transported at no additional cost in the cargo box and will be delivered to you once you disembark at destination. To facilitate your travel in the passenger cabin we have a wheelchair in the Boeing ships, not in the CRJ 200.

IMMEDIATE DELIVERY ON THE AIRCRAFT

For your convenience and taking into account the existing distances at international airports, you now have the possibility to deliver the wheelchair, or any other item of motor assistance, directly on the aircraft. You simply have to ask Boliviana de Aviación ticket agents to tag this item for immediate delivery on the plane. SOMOS

    IOSA

    SOMOS IOSA

    SOMOS IOSA
