HAND LUGGAGE

It is a case that can travel with you in the cabin, can carry personal items,valuables or delicates also you can take a personal accessory.

In the event that your carry-on exceeds the limit of weight and dimension, it can be removed by our Company staff to be placed at cargo compartment. Additional charge may apply.

The maximum dimensions of your hand luggage should not exceed: 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm (21 x 7.8 x 15 inches)

Hand luggage must fit in the sizers at the airport

Hand luggage should not exceed 10 kilos (22 lbs) on B767-300 fleet (Madrid and Miami).

Hand luggage should not exceed 7 kilos (15 lbs) on B737-300,B737-500,B737-700,B737-800 Fleet (Argentina and Brazil).

Hand luggage should not exceed 5 kilos (11 lbs) with a maximum dimensions of 20cmx25cmx30cm (7.8 x 9.8 x 11.8 inches) on CRJ-200 Fleet (Domestic flights Potosi, Oruro, Uyuni and non stop flights Sucre-Tarija).

LOCATION OF HAND LUGGAGE

According to aviation regulations, your hand luggage must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you otherwise it will be placed in the cargo compartment.

PERSONAL ACCESSORIES

When boarding you will be allowed to carry a personal accessory in the passenger cabin without extra cost , as long as its size, volume and weight does not bother other passengers or obstruct emergency exits, hallways or doors.

In addition to your carry-on luggage you can carry one of these articles:

Tools

Transportation or shipment of tools like hammers, drills, saws, radial, etc. is only permitted as checked baggage or cargo.

Firearms and weapons in general

Pistols, rifles, shotguns, BB guns/gun signals/toy guns, etc. If you must carry some kind of weapon, please notify in front desk to perform the corresponding procedure.It is important to present your permission to carry guns.

Blunt objects

Any type of blunt objects, bats, golf clubs, skates, martial arts equipment, etc.

Weapons or sharp objects or edges

Knives, box cutters, folding or retractable blades, ice picks, pointed scissors and other sharp object.

LIQUIDS AND GELS

If you need to transport liquids,is very important to take into account what is classified as liquid:

  • Water, soups, syrups and other beverages.
  • Creams, lotions and oils.
  • Perfumes.
  • Aerosoles.
  • Gels (Shower gels or shampoo).
  • Shavingcreamordeodorant.
  • Creams or pastes, including toothpastes.
  • Mixtures of liquids and solids.
  • Mascara.
  • Any other item of similar consistency.
There are other liquids can be transported in the cabin of the aircraft and its packaging may exceed 100 milliliters.

  • Baby formula, breast milk or juice (food for infants).
  • Prescription Drugs: must carry the prescription or the medicine package to the owner of the airline ticket.
  • Non-prescription drugs: Insulin and other medications.
Exception

In the specific case of United States liquid should not exceed the 100 ml for transportation. Transportation of liquids to the United States Presentation:

Liquids must be packed in bottles with a maximum capacity of 100 mililiters.

You should accommodate all the bottles inside a transparent ziplock plastic bag no more than 20 x 20 cm (equivalent to 1 liter).

This bag must be completely closed and separated from the rest of your luggage for review and appropriate security controls.

All liquids, gels, aerosols, etc. exceeding 100 milliliters, shall be included in checked luggage otherwise they will be confiscated at the security checkpoint.

NOTICE TO ALL OUR MIAMI BOUND PASSENGERS

According to the last TSA security meassure, all powder and powder like substances wieghting more than 12 Oz. Or 350 Gr. Cannot be transported a part of your hand luggage, but may be transported as checked baggage inside the airplane hold compartment.

DUTTY FREE

Please observe that in flights with stops you can only buy in the dutty free shop of the last airport or on Board of the last flight, if the service is available, before arriving to your destination.

It is important that the items are delivered together with the receipt in a transparent sealed bag with the serial number. Save the ticket, to verify that the purchase was made in a period not exceeding 48 hours prior to the flight.

United States only allow the transport of liquids over 100 ml in transparent, translucent or colored containers. The packaging metallic and opaque only may be transported in the checked luggage.

Keep in mind that in some countries Dutty Free airport purchases are permitted only if products purchased are delivered to you at the aircraft door.

ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

During the flight you can plugged: personal computer, tablet, PDA, music player, photo cameras and mobile phone (in airplane mode). Always observe the instructions of the crew.


CHECK-IN BAGGAGE

Your check-in baggage must have certain characteristics to be transported, this is the baggage that is checked at the airport when the passenger meet at counters and is placed in the cargo compartment.

It is important to verify the information according to your travel route and meet the requirements to avoid any inconvenient.

The airline accept luggages up to 32 Kilos as checked baggage base in the restrictions of each route, a baggage with an extra weight may cause delay at the time of chek-in to your flight.

SPECIAL BAGGAGE

It is considered special baggage, all the objects or instruments you wish to transport and which by its characteristics, nature, size, quantity and/or fragility, deserve special treatment and different conditions for handling and transportation.

ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES

If you have an electronic cigarette and get used to travel with, it is important you have in mind that due to incidents associated with the auto activation of electronic cigarettes that are transported as registered luggage and in accordance with the regulations issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization, you must carry your cigarette in hand luggage, remember that these devices can not be recharged or used inside the aircraft due to toxic substances emitted when they are in operation.

All these implements will be included in your franchise, if there is an excess the corresponding payment will be made, remember that you must present your sports equipment in the original packaging or properly packed, in this way you will avoid suffering damages.

If you have a sports item that works with an engine and / or batteries you should note that this will not be received for transportation.

BULKY/LARGE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

Guitars - Drums - Side Drums - Trumpets 

Because of the fragility and value of these items, you will be allowed in case of request, transporting any of these instruments in cabin,if it goes in under the conditions of baggage transport it will be without additional charge;otherwise it must be accommodated in a seat, for this you must pay a regular rate, the maximum weight for the instrument to be accepted is 75 Kilos.

Your instrument can also be transported in the baggage compartment of the aircraft, under baggage allowance conditions.

Departures from Madrid: guitars/musical instruments must be plastic wrap, if the weight is within the franchise will not be subject to additional charges.


BULK / LARGE AND FRAGILE LUGGAGE

If you planned to carry a TV (Plasma or LED) of 42 inches, it is considered a special baggage and requires appropriate conditions for their reception. It will have to go into it's box and protected on the inside and outside, considering that this baggage will be transported in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.

FIREARMS AUTHORIZED BY THE STATE (ONLY BRAZIL)

Any passenger carrying firearms, which has State authorization and it intended to travel on the domestic flight, must be presented in advance minimum of 2 hours at the counter of BoA from the airport of origin with the corresponding documentation in accordance with current legislation, to carry out safety procedures in coordination with the competent safety authority located at the airport. Firearms will be chech as special cargo compartment baggage.

The transport of firearms in international flights is prohibited unless it is a provision of a treaty, a Convention or an agreement between the Bolivian Government and the country of destination or origin of flight.

DANGEROUS MERCHANDISE

These are substances that under no circumstances can be carried on the aircraft as baggage, hand baggage or checked it because it would jeopardize flight safety, passengers and crew members.

7)Radioactive Materials. Equipment with radioactive isotopes.

8)Corrosive and oxidizing materials. Acids, alkaline, mercury (thermometers), wet cell batteries, electric accumulators andoxidizing materials as powder whitening and peroxide.

9) Batteries. Also other items considered dangerous such as ferromagnetic material, dry ice and car batteries.

One of the ways that you can take your pet with you when you travel is in the baggage compartment; to take your pet in a domestic and international flight you must meet several requirements: Note. The airline reserves the right of admission according to the animal's eye inspection at the airport.


TO TRANSPORT IN THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT



1. Is essential you reserve the space for your pet to the time reservation has made or purchase the ticket, please inform about the race and weight of the animal and the measures of the cage; call center or sales agent will complete the request to the reservations area and immediately will accept or will deny the transportation of your dog or cat, since spaces are limited for this service, according to the aircraft which operate the flight.

2. Pet space reservation should be made at least 72 hours before the flight departure, this time allows our staff to coordinate different aspects to make your safe trip.

3. At the time of choosing the Kennel takes into account that it must be large enough so the pet can stand, sit and turn without difficulty.

4. Please be sure the Kennel must have ventilation holes on all four sides.

5. Remember not provide food or water to your company pet four hours before the flight to avoid fatigue and reflux.

2) Health Report:issued by a veterinarian. The report shall be valid for 10 days from their date of issue.

3) Immunization Records:certificate of vaccination against rabies, the vaccine should be applied 30 days before to 01 year before boarding.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS

Children between 5 and 11 years may travel as unaccompanied minors under stablished regulations in domestic and international Boliviana de Aviacion flights. As the children requires an special attention it is very important to observe this information.  


Domestic Travel Requirements.

  • At the time of the reservation and purchase of the ticket is necessary for reports to the agent of Boliviana de Aviación, that the minor will travel without the company of an adult.
  • Please note that according normative Law Code 548 of Childreen and Teen and The Integral Law 263 Against Traffic in Persons, unacompanied minors from 5 to 17 years of age traveling domestic will be require to submit the children, teenagers national territory authorization travel. You can apply for this document at the Office of the Municipal Child and Teenagers advocacy and present the document at the time of the purchase of the tickets.
  • Either at the airport or in the office, you will have to fill out the form specially designed for the Unaccompanied Minor Service, always with the correct information.
  • To check in at the airport you have to present the Minor's ID (passport or other form of ID), Original Birth Certificate, authorization for travel and the completed form for Unaccompanied Minor.
  • Don't forget that the Minor cannot chekin at the airport alone. He/she has to be accompanied an adult for checkin and all airport procedures.

International travel requirements.

If you require a less than between 5 and 17 years of age perform an international trip without the company of an adult, you must take all necessary precautions, depending on the source and destination of the trip. As general information, it is important to remember that the service applies only to Boliviana de Aviación flights and not to connecting flights with other airlines. It is also important that the Minor be self sufficient and fully capable of following the instructions of the crew members.

Travel with origin or destination between Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil.  

Children that travel alone (5 - 11 years old)
  • It is important that you make the request of the unaccompanied minor service at the time of booking or purchase of ticket, presenting the original documentation and force of the minor.
  • You must deal with the legal authorization for travel, corresponding to the country of origin.
  • You must introduce yourself in desks of airport, next to the smaller, 3 hours before the flight with all the original documentation.
  • Takes into account that the service has no additional cost, but if space is limited.


Teenagers that travel alone (12 - 17 years old)
  • The unaccompanied minor service is not mandatory for teenagers, however, you should inform the agent at the time of the booking and purchase the ticket, presenting the valid original documents for the minor.
  • You are also responsible for processing the Legal Travel Authorization, as per the country of origin's requirements.
  • You have to be at the airport for checkin three hours before the flight, with the minor and present all the corresponding documentation.

Travel with origin or destination of South America to Spain and the United States 

  • If the passenger is a child between 5 and 11 years, it must also include the assistance service for unaccompanied minors, by both as a parent or legal guardian, you must then make the request at the time of booking or purchase of the ticket, with original documentation and force of the minor.
  • You are also responsible for processing the Legal Travel Authorization, as per the country of origin's requirements.
  • For your total peace of mind, this service includes assistance by the airline during boarding and disembarking, in addition, the company of our airport agents during the procedures of customs and immigration, until delivery to the parents or guardians.
  • You must introduce yourself in desks of airport, next to the smaller, 3 hours before the flight with all the original documentation.
  • The cost of the service of assistance is $ 100 or Eur. 100, including taxes, depending on the laws of the country of origin. You must take into account that the service is limited.

Young travelers from South America to Spain and the United States. 

  • If you require a child between 12 and 17 years trip to Madrid or the United States without company of an adult, we offer you the service of assistance for young travellers, you can request at the time of booking or purchase of the ticket of the minor, presenting their identity and travel documents and existing original.
  • In the case of minors, the conditions of carriage are similar to that of unaccompanied minors, therefore you will need to complete the processing for the legal authorization for travel to the country of origin.
  • The cost of the service of assistance is USD100 or EU100 when departing from Spain, including taxes, depending on the laws of the country of origin. You must take into account that the service has limited quotas.

Unaccompanied minors with auxiliary on board. 

We can offer you this service according to the route that you make the trip, the age of minors and our availability of crew, taking into account that the spaces are limited.

National Routes
The company offers you this service if you require transport to your child between 5 and 11 years without company of adult family member, It will still be considered unaccompanied minor. You will need to complete the request of the helper service on board at least 72 hours before the flight.

Please be aware that request a cabin crew member for the exclusive care of your child between 5 and 11 years, round trip tickets, hotel and travel expenses to our Flight Attendant should be covered by you.

Foreign minors or resident abroad, with existing documentation and an entry stamp which ratifies their stay less than 90 days in the territory of the country of destination temporary, should not submit additional travel authorization to the that were used to leave their country of origin and/or residence.

Should the minor not be met as stated above, I authorize the carrier to take whatever action they consider necessary to ensure the minor’s safe custody, including returning the minor to the airport of origin, and I agree to indemnify and reimburse the carrier for the costs and expenses incurred by them in taking such action.
  • 3. I certify that the minor is in possession of all travel documents (passport, visas, health certificate, etc...) required by applicable laws.
  • 4. The undersigned agrees to and requests the carriage of the named unaccompanied minor and certifies that the information provided is accurate.

Should the person legally responsible for the unaccompanied minor not be present at the return flight, the accompanying adult is authorized by means of present waiver of responsibility to turn over mentioned UM to the airline, being essential in this cases to present this document that will be kept at the departing station.

PASSENGER WITH DIFFERENT NEEDS (TRAFFIC AND ON BOARD)

As transport company, we have the obligation to provide an air service accessible for our customers with special capacities and needs, but there are limitations related to operational safety. Therefore, with the aim to facilitate and make your travel insurance procedures have been established that should be applied in our offices and airports.

Limitations.

The limitations in the transport of passengers with different capacities are, in many cases, related to protocols and standards of operational security and other features on the aircraft and airport terminals.

It is important to bear in mind that there are certain conditions that require, by the airline, special care or a medical certificate that allows legal we can provide the service. 

There are also exceptional conditions that allow our airport agents deny boarding of a passenger, this procedure is done to safeguard the safety of users, the crew and passenger's own.

People with reduced mobility. (PRM)

According to international regulations, refers to any person for any temporary or permanent alteration of your physical capabilities and/or sensory impairment, deterioration of intellectual faculties, age or other cause, require special attention and the adaptation of services to your needs.

Transport for people with reduced mobility
  1. If for any reason your deposit within the definition of a person with reducedmobility, you should take into account that you should not submit a legal medical certificate, unless you've developed a special medical condition.
  2. In the event of requiring the use of wheelchair for a part or the full path (during boarding and disembarking), you will need to complete the application corresponding to the reservation agent or sale of tickets at the time of purchase of your ticket.
  3. As airline loans not a medical service, therefore, in case of not being self-sufficient, you must always travel with a companion that will ensure your safety, hygiene and health care.
  4. In an extreme case, if the agents you deny the airport transportation, you must make a clear explanation and specific with regard to the causes.
  5. If accounts with objects that facilitate your mobility (wheelchairs, crutches, etc), these will be transported without additional cost in the mailbox of load and you will be delivered once the landing takes place at the destination. We have wheelchair in the Boeing ships, not so in the CRJ 200.

For your convenience and considering distances at international airports, now you have the possibility to deliver the wheelchair or any other motor support assistance item directly on the aircraft, you simply have to ask Boliviana de Aviación ticket agent to Label this item for Immediate Delivery on the Plane, after landing we will wait for you at the door of the aircraft with your motor support item ready to be used.

Remember that all the items that enter the aircraft pass through corresponding controls and none will pass without this label.


SPECIAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS



CONDITIONS THAT REQUIRE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

As a company of transport and safety regulations, we are in a position of requesting to talk to your doctor before making a trip, mainly if you have any of the following conditions that require attention.

  1. 1 Cardiovascular problems.
  2. 2 Chronic respiratory problems.
  3. 3 Severe anemia.
  4. 4 Unstable Diabetes.
  5. 5 Cancer.
  6. 6 Consumption of immunosuppressivemedication.
  7. 7 That their general condition is in doubt from any cause.

CONDITIONS THAT REQUIRE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE

In some medical cases  proportions and provided that the correct information on your state of health to the reservation agents and sales of the company, you will be prompted as a prerequisite, in order to be shipped, a medical certificate. OXIGEN TRANSPORTATION



As per internal regulations, Boliviana de Aviación allows you to carry a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) in the cabin to be used during the trip or if requested, as part of your luggage. This equipments are classified as Dangerous Goods, so it is very important that you take the following aspects into consideration for its transportation

  1. You have to make sure that the equipment is certified for use in commercial flights and counts with the approval of the regulatory entities.
  2. You or your family members should send the following information at least 48 hours before the flight: equipment manufacturer, brand and serial number for the company to make the necessary verifications and avoid any inconveniences at the time of embarkation.
  3. To carry this equipment during the trip, you have to check in at the airport 1 1/2 hour earlier, for the Boliviana de Aviacion representative to make the corresponding revision.
  4. Make sure you have enough battery for the duration of the trip, including transportation inside the airport and platform waiting time. Ideally, you should have 150% extra batteries at the time of the flight.
  5. It is imperative to present the medical certificate (MEDIF) signed by your doctor at the time of checkin. This document has to be issued no more than 10 days prior to the trip.

POC Equipment Service

If you do not have your own Portable Oxygen Concentrator, we offer this additional service. To have access to this service, you have to take the following into account:

For domestic flights, you have to request the service minimum 24 hour prior to the flight.

For flights within South America, the service has to be requested at least 48 hours prior to the flight.

For flights to Europe and the US, the service has to be requested at least 72 hours prior to the flight.

If you have connections with other airlines, remember to request them the service for the continuation of the trip.

It is mandatory to present the medical certification (MEDIF) signed by your doctor at the chekin counter. This document has to be issued no more than 5 days prior to the flight.

TRANSPORTATION OF EQUIPAMENT PORTABLE DIALYSIS (PDMs)



If necessary and as per Boliviana de Aviacion's regulations, you will be allowed to carry a Portable Dyalisis equipment (PDMs) in the cabin, as long as you comply with the transportation conditions, among them that it does not exceed 18 Kgs or the regulatory dimensions of the carry on. Remember that the lithium batteries have to be removed and packed separately inside your carry on or checked luggage

CONDITIONS OF STRICT SECURITY

Recalls request this special service at the time of booking or purchase of your ticket, at least 24 hours before the flight.

At the time of next headliner on the desks of Portable dialysis machine must already be totally OFF and remain so until the end of your trip, already in operation that can interfere with the communication systems of the aircraft.

You will be allowed to carry a quantity of liquid and supplies (medicines, syringes and dialysis fluids), enough for 1 or 2 days. Liquids should be packed tightly.

At the time of the shipment you will need to present and deliver the MEDIF form for special services, signed by a physician, this enables you to transport is totally free in cabin luggage or mailbox.

In order you to carry the portable dialysis machine in the passenger cabin, the equipment must not exceed 18 kg in weight nor the limit of measures allowed for hand luggage

To carry a machine in the mailbox of checked baggage the maximum allowable weight is 45 kilos. As security procedure you must remove the lithium batteries and keep them separate in your luggage.

TRAVELING WITH BABIES

The infants under 2 years not occupying a seat and pay exactly the 10% of the adult fare with whom they travel. If you require your baby occupies a site in the aircraft, you will have to pay, for him, the child's rate (2 to 11 years) and carry a special CDR seat, with the following stamp:

TRANSPORT OF NEWBORNS

  • By safety regulations, Bolivian aviation transported only infants on the eighth day of birth. 
  • Must travel accompanied by one of their parents or close relatives.
  • For domestic flights, you can present during the baby´s live birth certificate during de first month of life, thereafter you will need to present a birth certificate until before the end of three months, from de thrid month the presentation of identity card or passport wil be mandatory, this according to the current traffic prefention and trafficking regulations.
  • For international flights is mandatory submission of the identity card or passport.
  • Premature babies are considered medical case and require medical certificate to make the trip.

ADULTS ACCOMPANIED BY-INFANTS

According to the security standards and regulations on transport of juveniles, if you require transport two infants under two years, you must assure the smaller next to you and the other infant must be insured to a special seat COR, that must carry this label:

Basinet Service

With the purpose of providing confort to the infant and the parents during a long flight: Santa Cruz-Miami-Santa Cruz or Santa Cruz-Madrid-Santa Cruz, we offer the Basinet service aboard. You can access to this service requesting it at the time of booking and purchase of the tickets and up to 48 hours prior to the trip. The service is offered according to disponibility.

Conditions to request the Service
To have access to the basinet on board the baby's weight cannot exceed 10 kgs and be less than 70 cms high at the time of the flight. It is important that the baby's weight and height do not exceed the established limits, or the service could be denied aboard.

If you need to travel with your company animal in the cabin, this service is offered only for dogs and cats older than 3 months old, which including the cage do not exceed 5 kgs. On October 24 2007, through Supreme Decree Nº 29318 the Empresa Publica Nacional Estrategica Boliviana de Aviacion- BoA, is established as a legal person in public law; indefinite duration; own heritage; administration, finance, legal and technical autonomy under the tutelage of the Ministerio de Obras Publicas Servicios y Vivienda.

The Senior Management of Boliviana de Aviacion - BoA is under a Board of Directors as the maximum decision entity, with a General Manager, who exercises the maximum institutional representation, as the Maximum Executive Authority.

On February 19, 2009 the Civil Aviation Administration (DGAC) granted Boliviana de Aviacion - BoA the Certification as Great National and International Air Operator.

On March 23, 2009, the "Superintendencia de Transportes" issues the Administrative Resolution No. 0084/2009, authorizing Boliviana de Aviacion to provide regular commercial aeronautical services.

This authorization initiates the commercial airline operations.

On March 30, 2009, BoA initiates its operations with flights in the backbone of the country (Cochabamba, La Paz y Santa Cruz); on June 19, 2009 BoA starts operating to Tarija; on September 5, 2009 the operation to Sucre and on December 2, 2009 the opening of the route to the city of Cobija.

¿Qué es IOSA?
El programa IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) es el estándar de Calidad y Seguridad Operacional más estricto de la industria aeronáutica, ya que está fundamentado en normas de la OACI (Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional). Estas normas generan una modalidad de evaluación que permite garantizar un alto estándar de seguridad en las operaciones. Las aerolíneas deben someterse a profundas auditorías cada dos años para renovar sus certificaciones.

Nuestra primera certificación.
En junio de 2012 iniciamos el trabajo para que Boliviana de Aviación obtenga la certificación IOSA, bajo la guía de la empresa BRIPSA en coordinación con un equipo conformado para lograr este nuevo objetivo, se adecuaron los procedimientos y procesos existentes, a los parámetros de seguridad operacional de la industria aeronáutica internacional.

Tras seis meses de arduo trabajo, el 7 de diciembre de 2012 la empresa francesa Quali Audit realizó la auditoría y logramos la certificación, gracias al compromiso de toda la familia BoA, convencida de que la seguridad operacional es el único valor que nos permitirá estar entre las mejores líneas áreas de la región y del mundo.

Nuestra Re – certificación IOSA.
En agosto de 2014, se inició un nuevo reto, la re-certificación, para esto se conformóun comité IOSA, veinticinco personas trabajando para que el resultado de esta auditoría sea un éxito para nuestra empresa. El reto entonces consistía en demostrar que todos los procesos y procedimientos implementados en 2012 ya eran parte de un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad y Seguridad Operacional, mostrando madurez por parte de Boliviana de Aviación, en la cultura de seguridad integral.

Este proceso no pudo llegar en mejor momento, ya que el 7 de diciembre de 2014 renovamos nuestra certificación IOSA, incluyendo la operación de nuestras naves Boeing 767 300 ER, en las nuestras rutas Miami y Madrid.

Cambios profundos.
Para la certificación y re-certificación se realizaron cambios profundos, se ha generado una Gestión Administrativa de Calidad y Seguridad Operacional, ya que implementamos un Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad, que sobrepasa los requerimientos de las regulaciones nacionales, porque a través de diferentes procedimientos eliminamos o por lo menos mitigamos los peligros y por consiguiente los riesgos que podrían amenazar nuestras operaciones.

Los principales retos.
Si bien obtener la certificación y re-certificar ha sido un gran reto para la empresa, mostrar una continuidad y mantener este nivel de compromiso con los más altos niveles de seguridad de la industria a través de IOSA es el mayor reto dentro de nuestra compañía, por algo somos la única aerolínea boliviana que tiene esta certificación.

The provision of our services within the framework of the company general policy will be facilitated by Management in the context of a collaborative, proactive relationship and understood by all the members of Boliviana de Aviacion. Likewise, all the organization's personnel must comply with their responsibilities, as per the regulations and procedures outlined on the applicable Manuals.

* The responsibility for the safety and security of Aviacion has a general cross-cutting nature in Boliviana de Aviacion and therefore conditions each assigned function to the operational and administrative personnel or our company and associated companies.

* Within the framework of general responsibility, it is imperative that all the employees of Boliviana de Aviacion and associated companies notify without any fear, any condition, incident or event which could compromise the security of our operations, our facilities or the physical integrity of the staff involved. This notifications WILL NOT BE subject to reprisal.

NOT PUNITIVE POLICY

  • This policy assures all the officials of Boliviana de Aviacion that the notification of accidental or not premeditated mistakes will not result in disciplinary or punitive actions against the persons involved, unless, of course, those mistakes are the result of illegal activities, dolo or other malitious actions, as per the company's definitions. The identity of any employee who informs of the mistake will not be revealed, unless he/she or the law authorizes it.
  • We encourage all the personnel to use all the mechanisms outlined on the Management Manual for Security and Quality (MQS) to help Boliviana de Aviacion to continuosly improve the security with a proactive, informative and compromised attitude.

PERSONNEL POLICIES

Whereever the operations of Boliviana de Aviacion are conducted, the personnel involved should:
  1. 1. Perform in accordance with the procedures established on the company's approved manuals, comply with the applicable regulations and the IOSA standard.
  2. 2. Report to his/her Manager, Supervisor or immediate responsible person about the areas which need improvement on the system or the area's operational manual.
  3. 3. Commit to the culture of the aviation operational safety and security.
  4. 4. To guarantee the continuation of the corresponding functions of his area in case of temporary absence, with the delegation of functions, not responsibilities.
  5. 5. To accept the responsibility for his/her own actions and account for them.
  6. 6. To participate coactively in the design of rules and regulations.
